About the UN's Premier SDG Pioneer Showcase Event
The UN SDG Media, Arts, Film, and Technology Showcase (UNMAFT) is an exciting, annual event that brings together innovators from around the world to showcase their solutions, productions, artworks, and ideas in the arena of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The showcase competition is open to applicants from all member states who agree to the 17 SDGs, including ending poverty, reducing inequality, promoting sustainable energy, and ensuring access to education and healthcare. The event provides a platform for top innovators and artists to network with investors, mentors, and other innovators, as well as to gain exposure and recognition for their work.
The competition typically features multiple rounds, with participants presenting their work to a panel of expert judges. The judges assess each participant’s potential impact, innovation, and creativity, among other criteria, and provide feedback and guidance to help participants to improve and grow their impact. The finalists may receive funding, mentorship, and other resources to help them scale and grow their initiatives, whether in technology or the arts. UNMAFT is a unique opportunity for people throughout the world to showcase their contributions — whether creative, artistic, or technological — to the global effort to achieve the SDGs across every country and every continent in our shared world.
